On the basis of this agreement, several changes have been made respect to both the Land Use Plan of Port Areas and the Special Plan.
The first change of the Land Use Plan of Port Areas for the Port of A Coruña was passed by the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of A Coruña on 22nd July 2006. By this change, the different uses of port areas in the outer port are assigned, making a clear distinction between commercial uses (dry and liquid bulk, and also general cargo) and complementary use for activities related to this commercial use.
At present this document is still pending of new changes, due to the adjustments in the port service area regarding the original document as some imprecise questions were revealed in the agreement, according to the report by the Public Entity State Ports dated on 26th December 2007.
The Land Use Plan of the inner port there has also been changed. The Battery Quay has changed from a multi-purpose use to a tertiary use (equipments), without meaning any changes in the demarcation of the port service areas in A Coruña. This change was initially passed by the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of A Coruña on 19th September 2007, it was publicly reported and it is pending of the report by the Ministry of the Environment on if it should be subjected to an Strategic Environmental Assessment.

These changes, affecting the existing Land Use Plan of Port Areas, passed by Ministerial Order of 28th December 1999, are being considered at present while awaiting their definitive approval.
On the other hand, in 2007 the change numbers 1 (to correct some questions detected in the Special Plan) and number 2 (related to the protection of the existing fence between the Marine Basin and the Liners Quay) of the Special Plan were also taken under consideration. Those changes affect the Special Organization Plan of the Port of A Coruña dated from 2000.
Regarding the monitoring of the agreement on urban reorganisation of some specific land areas of the port of A Coruña and San Diego Railway Station, there were three meetings on 13th December 2006, on 2nd March 2007, and on 5th September 2007.
